Many people say that young people are the future, but they are also the present above all, without which there will be no desired future for new generations. That is why, it is very important how we act, raise and educate young people. What we should strive for are the people who are full of empathy, understanding, tolerance and love. And that can be achieved through a lot of work, sacrifice and persistence.

It is like, for example, swimming, which is a big part of my life and which, as a discipline, taught me all of the above. For ten years I was a competitor, member of the BiH national team, and I won over 250 medals at international and national championships. But all that motivated me to improve my work and contribution to the community, so for example, for the last three years I have been an assistant swim coach and also an assistant skiing coach in the same club.

Sport teaches us togetherness and cooperation and provides an opportunity for everyone to be involved. It broadens our horizons and allows us to look at the world in a slightly different way. So, in addition to everything, I am focused on inclusive projects, sporting activities, cooperation with Special Olympics International and Special Olympics Bosnia and Herzegovina, which I am particularly proud of.

Years of volunteering at the OAZA Sport Games, the largest competition for people with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, are behind me. In addition, I am one of the organizers of the Athletes Leading the Way project, which educated 150 students in leadership, Special Olympics, and inclusive sports and education.

I am also upgrading everything, and myself as a person, as a freshman at the International Burch University in Sarajevo, studying at the Department of International Relations and European Studies.

Therefore, very logically, the possibility of being part of the UNFPA team and ambassador makes me happy and even more motivated in this noble mission.

Building peace is necessary to understand the differences that should be perceived as a value that will make our lives better, healthier and in which generations to come will have a brighter future.
