Dancing is something that has greatly influenced who I am today.
The universality of movement, easily recognizable to anyone and anywhere in the world, greatly influenced my personality.
Ever since I was little, I loved music, sports and dancing, which were the perfect combination for me. By participating in junior solo and formation competitions, I learned what teamwork is, how to win but also how to lose. After all, I know that it is the passion that makes me happy and makes me enjoy life.
When I think about it more, maybe it directed me somewhere and determined that today, at the age of nineteen, I am a freshman at the International Burch University in Sarajevo, studying at the Department of International Relations and European Studies and at the same time working at the International Burch University’s Center for Research in Social Sciences as a researcher of communication and public relations and as a young research assistant.
Because all of the above is like dance and music. Diverse means a lot of travelling, acquaintances and, of course, diversity that leads to a better understanding of the world in which we live.
And that's how playful and dancing my life was during my secondary education. In addition to my education, I volunteered a lot, for example, for the NGO Mararhon in Sarajevo, participated in the organization of sports competitions as well as in the Model United Nations in the First Bosniak Grammar School, and now, during my studies, I am also organizing conferences and classes, trying to give my best in everything.
Because as in dance, passion is what carries you. Then, with our movements, we express something that we feel, see or think, and that “language” is understood by everyone.
That's why, when I found out about the UNFPA peacebuilding training, I had to find a way to participate, learn something and be an active participant in something as noble and unique as peacebuilding. This should be the main topic in the world and it is of great importance that people know and understand how to implement peace and how to address the problems of our world. Peace is an important topic at this moment and will be tomorrow. That's why, I look forward to all new meetings and acquaintances, all our future endeavors and efforts to make the world a more beautiful and better place for everyone. So, let's dance together.
