UNFPA, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina and partners from the private and civil sectors, continues the project of strengthening human capital through paid on-the-job training for the category of long-term unemployed women to raise awareness in society that Bosnia and Herzegovina has enormous development potential that is not adequately used, which is the reason why the whole society is lagging behind the developed countries of Western Europe.
More than half a million working-age women in BiH have stopped seeking jobs. Reasons include lack of social and economic support, as well as the prevailing attitudes that often value women less than men.
There is no development without equality and inclusion of all women and men in the labour market.
